Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified® is a global standard for products that are safe, circular and responsibly made. It assesses the safety, circularity and responsibility of materials and products across five categories of sustainability performance: Material Health, Product Circularity, Clean Air & Climate Protection, Water & Soil Stewardship, Social Fairness.
All C2C Certifications are third-party verified.
Companies must work with an independent assessment body to assess and verify a product’s performance across each of the C2C Certified performance categories.
C2C certification is awarded based upon four ascending levels of achievement. Each performance category (Material Health, Product Circularity, Clean Air & Climate Protection, Water & Soil Stewardship, Social Fairness) is awarded an achievement level and the product’s lowest category achievement level determines its overall certification level. Certification must be renewed every two years with measurable improvement required at each recertification.

Low-emitting certificates are third-party certifications that verify building materials have low or no emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which protects indoor air quality.
EPDs in EC3 are grouped by material category. EC3 collaborates with manufacturers to develop functional / performance search parameters to facilitate appropriate product comparisons.
With hundreds of categories currently in EC3 and growing, categories are in various stages of development. To provide the most accurate comparative results in the Transparency Catalog, information about the category's stage in EC3 is displayed.

MasterFormat® filtering will ALWAYS give you results. We add division and section numbers only when there are products or disclosures.
Search looks at names: MasterFormat division and section (not numbers), brand, product type and product.
